The hottest collab of the past few years, Killer Mike and El-P are back in Australia to tour Run the Jewels 2. I see the two albums like this:
Overly gangsta, so much so that's almost a parody, but instead they come off as just plain badass. Though there's nothing deeply political here or though provoking, and on first glance the lyrics may just seem overtly crude, however there is another layer of depth in the darkness here:  there's a beauty in their simplicity. Both the records appeal to the 10 year old boy in all of us that looks up to Mike and El as the effortlessly cool, badass uncles we wish we could grow up to be. 

Speaking of badass... Brooklyn's own young superstar, Joey Bada$$ will drop his own version of street knowledge. His his album "B4.DA.$$" will be dropping on 20/1.
